On August 28, 2026, we held the workshop "Interactive Agents for Behavior Change: Designing Trustworthy Nudges with Robots and AI (IA4BC)" at the 35th IEEE International Conference on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (RO-MAN 2026), held at the Kitakyushu International Conference Center.

When robots and AI encourage people to change their behavior, how should that influence be designed so that it earns people's trust without undermining their autonomy? Centering on this question, the workshop ran for a full day with invited talks and poster presentations. It is supported by the JST CREST research area "Symbiotic AI Interdisciplinary Systems".
